About the artist Cathy's work is her way of exploring nature and learning more about animals and our relationship to them. She reads often and much of her inspiration comes from what she reads about, such as deep sea animals, whales, and humanity's relationship with nature throughout history. Cathy earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts with an Art History minor from the Art Institute of Boston. She is now attending Simmons College and will soon have a Master's degree in Archives Management. Besides reading and making things, she also enjoys baking, bicycle-riding, and thinking about cross-country road trips.
